Hello,
We finally have an idea of what we are going to do in Switzerland in a couple of weeks.
I am struggling to decide wether to pay as we go or buy a pass, can anyone help at all?
The travel in are plans are:
– Schilthorn from Stechelburg
– Lauterbrunnen to Grindelwald (return)
– Grindelwald First cliff walk cable car?
– lotschberg car tunnel (return)
– Tasch to Zermatt (return)
– Zermatt to Gornergrat

Based on your plans above, I’d say it’s worth investing in a pass. At a glance I’d probably suggest a Swiss Half Fare Card. This will give you 50% off all travel whilst you are here. It would mean, you’d still need to purchase along the way but at a discounted rate. The pass costs CHF120 per person and is valid for a month. I am struggling to find out if all of the above would be reduced by the half fare card? I know the Gornergrat and Schilthorn will. I’m not sure about the rest. Do you know?
