Some friends and I are planning to do part of the Green Trail, in Switzerland. We’ll only have 7 days, and doing the whole thing would take longer. Is there a part of the trail that we can do in 7 days, for group of people who can walk but aren’t athletes ;)? What is a good suggested plan for the 7 days (what section is done each day) and is there lodging along the way? Thanks!

    Hi Chauntelle.

Welcome to My Swiss Aps. Thanks for joining us.

I don’t know the “Green Trail.” It has never been on my “to do” list. Surely, someone else can jump in.

When I seek information about specific trails, this is my first resource:

    map.wanderland.ch/?lang=de&route=all&bgLa yer=pk&resolution=100& X=602744&Y=174867&laye rs=Wanderland

I either work from the map or use the search box. Sometimes it helps to know the name of a town along the route.

Once you find a route on this website, it will give you information about each section, including accommodations and an altitude profile, as well as a detailed map. I find that i have search for a while before my choice od search terms makes the map happy. 😉

    Hi Chauntelle,

The “Green trail” is new to me as well, but it looks like it’s the eastern part of the famous Via Alpina, crossing Liechtenstein and the the lower Alps in Graubünden. When googling you’ll find several blogs about it. Useful information about each section of the Via Alpina can be found here. The first few sections are most relevant to you.
