    Hello, Good day to all.

Last month our family made a Reservation for the Glacier Express from St. Moritz to Chur on July 3, at 9:02 am (via Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn). We tried today to book and pay for our tickets on the website (shop.glacierexpress.ch /gex_en) without making another reservation, but cannot find how we can do this. It seems that there is no way to put in the information that we already have a reservation (including seat numbers), and the system is designed to reserve and buy together right now. We simply want to purchase the tickets for our existing reservation. We would be grateful if you could assist us and help us to find how we can book our tickets for this reservation.

If you could please send us detailed steps as to where and how to do this, we would appreciate that very much.

    Hi Scaplan,

You can buy the ticket online here, or buy a ticket for the train before boarding as you are already have a reserved seat. This can be done at any staffed rail station in Switzerland.

The page http://www.raileurope.com/eur ope-travel-guide/switzerland/how-to-book-train.html is listed on Lucas’s link, and it lists the 9:02 train as a normal train. So they offer tickets without a reservation. This is ok since the Glacier Express is combined with normal carriages on that leg. This is the ticket you need if you prefer to buy in advance. Combined with your reservation you can of course sit in the panoramic carriage.

    Enjoy the trip!
