Is Wengen a good base for First & Schilthorn?

    Hi!

    We will be in the Oberland Bernese area for 4 nights mid-late June. I just want to make sure that Wengen is a convenient location to do the adventures at Mount First and catching the views at Schilthorn. Figuring out timing with the cable cars, etc. is confusing as I plan. Thanks for your expertise!

    Hi Isepa and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    Wengen is a good choice I think – about in the middle between the two. On the timetable just search Wengen to First (Grindelwald) and Wengen to Schilthorn.

    Murren is closer to Schilthorn and Grindelwald is closer to First.

    It’s about 1.5 hours to either mountain top with 2 or 3 connections either way.
