9 day trip Zermatt, Montreux, Lucerne, Zurich
-
Hi. We will be arriving in Zurich on the 1st of July at 7am from asia. From there we (my mother, sister and her two children 8 and 9) take the train (bought the 8 day swiss travel pass) to Interlaken and make that our base for 4 days. On the first day itself we would like to see Interlaken itself. Was thinking of a boat cruise to Breinz and return back by train. Then head to Harderkulm and Hoheweg Promenade. i hear there is a castle too and a roman catholic church. is there anything else i should do or avoid from what i have stated.
day 2: we plan to go to zermatt. i have been told once i reach there, there are 2 options. one is to take the klien cable car and the other is to take the cogwheel train to gomergrat. which is better. is it possible to do both in the same day with children?
day 3: we plan to go to montreux. i believe there is a scenic ride on the route from montreux to zweisimman. as i have the first class pass do i need to change trains and buy a separate golden pass or i can enjoy the panoramic view on a regular train?
day 4: go to jungfraujoch. again there is a cogwheel train. do we need to buy separate tickets for this and make reservations?
day 5: proceed to lucerene and spend the day in there
day 6: go to mt titlis
day 7: not sure what to do today. either go to lake como, lugano or mt pilatis for the day. any suggestions
day 8: back to zurich and go see the rhine falls. spend evening in zurich
day 9: spend day in zurich.
day 10: fly out to london.
would be highly obliged and grateful for any suggestions on any of the days or any part of our trip
thanks
