Hi Ballam1,
Yes, it can be done with an early start. It really depends on how much time you want on each mountain top in the end.
You can use the Swiss railways timetable to plan the trips from Wengen and between the mountains: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable
Wengen –> Jungfraujoch–>Schilthorn–>Wengen
Hi ballam1! Indeed, it can work. But to may have to skip the round trip from/to Jungfraujoch (up via Wengen, down via Grindelwald as described at https://www.myswissalp s.com/jungfraujoch/get tingthere) in order to have enough time for the Schilthorn as well. Going up both up and down via the Wengen side will save you some time.
Thank you to all
I’ll be staying 3 nights at Grindelwald Grund for 3 nights from 19-21 Sept 2018. I intend to go up Jungfraujoch and Schilthorn on separate days. However, If only one day is with sunny clear sky, would it be okay to start 8am (eg) from G Grund >> Jungfraujoch >> then down to Lauterbrunnen – Stechelberg – Gimmelwald – Murren – Birg >> Schilthorn and leave to reach Lauterbrunnen before sunset? Or is there a shorter route from Jungfraujoch to Schilthorn?
Thanks from May.
Hi May,
Yes, you could accomplish both in one longer day if need be. The Swiss railways timetable will show you the quickest options to any destination so you can plan out the trips to see how it will work.
