    Hello, My Swiss Alps friends.

Is it possible to carry a bike on the train from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen? I would love to take my bike and explore the town.

    Any recommendations? Thank you!

    Best,

    Hi Alonso,

Generally speaking you can take bikes on most trains – sometimes you need to buy a bike ticket.

Here are details from the Swiss railways website: including how to find trains that accept bikes (as not all do) on their timetable: http://www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/auto-velo/on-the-move-by-bike.html

    Thank you Lucas!

I do know you have to take a train that allows bikes inside and for that, you should buy a bike ticket, only for going to Wengen which I think is a smaller train or at least different for going up to the mountains, I’m not sure if I can take my bike with me inside the train. I will check in advance the website you just posted. But true, most of the trains allow bikes inside. I will ask my hotel and see if they know something too!

    Thank you!!

    Best,

    Alonso
