Can you recommend good day trips from Geneva? Preferably no longer than 1 to 1.5 hrs or so outside Geneva so will be realistic to both travel to and fro and sightsee in the destination. Thanks!

Unrelated question: in Murten we will stay at Murtenhof & Krone. I gather that their dining room is under renovation. Any sense of whether that will negatively affect our stay (general hotel access, guest room quiet)? I read there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Thanks again!

I’m sure the hotel will try their best to minimise disruptions resulting from the renovation. If you are concerned, you should contact the hotel directly to seek clarification.
Murten is a nice town. If you have time, make a day trip to Neuchatel, less than 40 mins by train away.
