Hi. I have bought one of the above and received an email with a QR code, ticket ID etc. I have an account and the SBB app. How do I either a) add this to my Iphone wallet or b) add it to the SBB app ? Every time I try to add to the SBB app it asks for a customer number which I cannot find.

    Hi Ling andy,

If you requested the Swiss Half Fare Card to be sent by email, it should come in a PDF doc or a link that you can click and add to your e-wallet.

You can find more information here: http://www.myswissalps.com/swisshalffarecard/howtouse

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, let us know.

    Regards,

    Anna

Hi Anna. Came as a pdf with no link to add to wallet nor given the option to get a link. Seems strange.

    Hi AndyDG,

The PDF doc would be sufficient. You just need to present the QR code for scanning during ticket checks. Hope this helps.

    Hi Ling andy/Andy DG,

As a tourist you don’t need an SBB account and you don’t have to add your Swiss Half Fare Card to any account or e-wallet. Just show the Swiss Half Fare Card PDF with the QR code when asked for, and buy 50% discounted tickets as explained at http://www.myswissalps.com/swisshalffarecard/howtouse and http://www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/switzerlandhalffare.

Just to clarify: an account in the SBB app is mainly used by Swiss residents. Many residents have a ‘SwissPass’ account in the SBB app. This SwissPass is different from the Swiss Travel Pass: see http://www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/swisspass. It allows travelers to add travel products, such as the Half-Fare travelcard (which is different from the Swiss Half Fare Card: see http://www.myswissalps.com/swisshalffarecard/details). All those names look a lot alike, so they can cause some confusion :-).
