We didn’t do that particular experience, but we did buy customized/engraved Victorinox knives at a shop in Wengen:

They were a huge hit back home; just don’t forget to pack them in your checked luggage and not carryon! They almost didn’t make it back into the U.S., but a kindly TSA agent allowed us to go back and check our carryon so they were not tossed!

Hello
i did this experience about three years ago in Brunnen. You have a limited choice of what you can make and the model I made only had the option of a corkscrew or a Philips head screwdriver. The other items were fixed due to the frame of the knife but included two blades, scissors, screwdriver, and other items. It’s a nice knife and a good size. The blade has the engraving “assembled by me” on it. And you also have the option of engraving the plastic sides of the knife and choosing your own colours if you don’t want red. It was a very nice experience and well worth the time and I think at the time was only about CHF 5 more than the standard knife it was based on. The cases are very expensive though. Hope this helps.
