Can I extend a Berner Oberland Pass that’s already in use?

    Hi Johnny Gui,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

Yes, you can extend the Berner Oberland Pass (https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/berner-oberland-pass/) but you will have to go directly to the ticket counter. I recommend going to the SBB Travel Center at Zurich Airport or Zurich main station as soon as you arrive. Or you can also request for the extension at the railway station in Interlaken.

    Regards,
    Anna

Thank you for the info. So I take it the statement in the link I gave is not true?

    Hi Johnny,

I think there should be no problem if the request for the extension is done at a major railway station like Interlaken.

    Hi Johnny_Gui,

No worries! You can extend your pass while you’re using it. The forum discussion you mentioned took place a couple of years ago. The current Berner Oberland Pass extension rules do not rule out passes that are in use. You can check the details through https://www.berneseoberlandpass.ch/faq/
