Domodossola-Milan: location bus stop? Is 10 mins transfer sufficient?

Short summary – read this first

Yuki is trying to figure out where the bus stop near Domodossola train station is and wondering if 10 minutes is enough time to transfer from train to bus. It's a quick 2-minute walk to the bus station from the train station, so 10 minutes should be sufficient for the transfer.

Key takeaways:
  • The bus station is just a short 2-minute walk from the railway station, making the 10-minute transfer manageable.
  • If you're catching a rail-replacement bus, it may have a separate stop that should be well signposted.
  • Look out for staff at the bus stop to assist with your transfer, ensuring you get on the right bus.

Hi Yuki, and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Yes, 10 minutes should be long enough.

The bus station is about a 2 min / 160 metre walk from the railway station. When you come out the main station exit, turn to your left and the bus station is across the road a short distance away (see attached screenshot from Google Maps).

That’s where the “normal” buses stop, but if you are catching a rail-replacement bus, it might have a special stop. If so, I would expect it to be well signposted, and there will probably be staff on hand to ensure that everyone makes the transfer successfully.

    Hope this helps!
