Easy to moderately easy hikes in Arosa and Verbier
Ellsworth and his wife are spending almost two weeks in Verbier and Arosa this August. At 60s, they're looking for easy to moderate hikes, as they can't handle steep trails anymore. They're familiar with Switzerland but want new adventures and flexibility with their rental car.
- Check out hiking routes for Verbier and Arosa online for options that suit your abilities.
- Consider hiking from Tschiertschen to Langwies in Arosa for a moderate trail, with a lovely lunch spot at Molinis.
- Utilize the Swiss Travel Pass if planning on using trains and buses for convenience while exploring the hiking regions.

We are spending almost 2 weeks in Verbier and Arosa in August. We are Americans in our late 60’s and we just can’t do the steep, long hikes like we used to. This is our 5th trip to Switzerland. We have been to Wengen, Zermatt, Pontresina, Engelberg and Appenzell, so we are trying 2 new locations this time. Please tell me about any easy to moderate hikes in these areas that you recommend. We will have a car. (My husband loves driving in Europe.) We want the flexibility of being able to drive, although we do love the Swiss trains. Thanks.
