Swiss public transport is celebrating its 175-year anniversary (see http://www.myswissalps.com/forum/topic/swiss-rail-anniversary-activities-may-oct-2022). So here’s a nice peek into Swiss train history!
Swiss railway companies and tourism orginazations have been issueing advertising posters since their early existence. Many of those have been digitally archived, and this project is still going on.
For anyone interested I recommend the below sources (not all available in English, but easily translatable):
