Good vegetarian restaurants in Zermatt and Zurich

Short summary – read this first

Four of us will be in Zermatt in late November. One of us is a vegetarian and can’t eat fish or seafood. Another is a vegetarian but prefers fish and seafood. The remaining 2 don’t have dietary restrictions. We are looking for good restaurants for dinner. Not tourist places or all you can eat buffets. We are considering the Omnia for dinner one evening and would like to know if anyone has eaten there but need other options for the remaining days.

    Hi cam223 –

Don’t know about Zermatt, but in Zürich, Hiltl is the go to place for vegetarians. They don’t serve anything else, as far as I recall.

    Hi Cam223,

Hiltl is definitely the place to go in Zurich. For a list of vegetarian options check out Happy Cow for Zurich and Zermatt.

Zermatt.com also has a list of options for you as well. I don’t have any first-hand knowledge on the subject unfortunately!
