Good morning,
I have another question for those who have experienced Grindlewald First in the summer. We are staying in Lauterbrunnen for several days and wanted to do the adventure activities at first one day – particularly the mountain carts and first glider. We are already doing Stubbach Falls, Trummelbach Falls, and the Schilthorn as well as some hikes in the area. As I am now reading, it can be 90-180 min wait for activities, even going up first thing in the morning, I’m reconsidering this plan. I don’t think we want to waste precious time standing in lines when there is so much beauty to see and do. Are there other things similar you would suggest for us? I am wondering if our time is better spent on a boat tour or a lake kayak tour (is there something nearby we love long kayak trips on), or another hike? Is there another mountain adventure you would suggest? We have already been to Jungfrau and Interlaken as well. Looking for an active activity, not just strolling around a city.

The adventure activities on Grindelwald First (https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/grindelwald-first/) operate on a first-come, first serve basis so I highly recommend you start early if you want to avoid the long queue. It’s best to purchase your tickets online  so you don’t have to wait in line at the ticket counter.

Excursion alternatives nearby:
– Pfingstegg (https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/pfingstegg/) with its mountain coaster (also quite popular)
– Männlichen (https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/mannlichen/) – from Männlichen you can take the cable car down to Wengen
– Grindelwald Glacier Canyon
