How is autumn shaping in Switzerland

    Hello,

Our visit to the region is now exactly two weeks away, and I’m curious how the weather is shaping up so far. I know it’s still too early for a precise forecast, but I did have a couple of questions:

    1. How are the trees looking colour-wise? Given this year’s heatwave and drought, do you think there’s still a good chance of nice autumn colours within the next two weeks?
    2. What’s the general weather outlook looking like for this month so far?

As a family, we’re really looking forward to this trip, and we’re hoping for good weather.[ofcourse we have rainy day plans but hope we wont be having though out the week]

    Thanks so much!

    Hi cod-ninja,

I think we are finally transitioning from warm to cooler weather in October.

The leaves on the trees in front of my house are turning red and orange, so it’s definitely feeling like autumn.

You can check out the Switzerland Tourism foliage map (https://www.myswitzerland.com/en-ch/experiences/summer-autumn/autumn/foliage-map/) for latest and interactive info about best spots for autumn scenery.

    Regards,
    Anna
