The cable car trip from Mürren to the Schilthorn takes 17 minutes. There is a mid-station called Birg, which is reached in 13 minutes. You can get out and spend some time there if that would be of any help. At Birg there is a restaurant, a terrace with seating and panoramic views, and you can do the Thrill Walk. Altitudes above sea level are: Mürren 1638 metres, Birg 2700 metres and Schilthorn 2970 metres.
