Does anyone know of a way to get our luggage from Wengen to Gengenbach Germany? I’ve ended up with a knee brace & crutches & don’t know how I’ll manage the trains with luggage. We leave Wengen on June 2nd, travel by train to Offenburg, Germany, where we will be picking up a rental car & drive to Gengenbach for 3 nights. We will have the rental car for 8 days as we move about Germany until departure on June 11. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!!!!

    Hello again

Luggage services is not my expertise.  I am only answering your thread only because your situation is URGENT and no-one else has answered your thread.

A section of the MySwissAlps website says
Transport services for international rail journeys.

There are luggage services for train journeys from Germany and Austria to Switzerland and vice versa.
I would contact Wengen station first thing tomorrow morning and enquire whether your heavier luggage can be sent from Wengen to Offenburg.  (Gengenbach has a small station.  I think it unlikely that it will have facilities to deal with luggage.)

    Best wishes
    Roger

    Hi 26vacay,

One option would be to use the SBB luggage transfer service (https://www.myswissalps.com/travel/train/luggage/) from Wengen station to Basel SBB. For delivery to your destination in Germany, Deustche Bahn partners with Hermes Luggage (www.bahn.de/angebot/zusatzticket/hermes-gepaeckversand) so you may want to check out their website.

Alternatively, you can use a private courier service such as AlpTransfer (http://alptransfer.com/luggage-transfer).

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Anna
