Hi Laura S,
Welcome to MySwissAlps! The price (in Swiss francs) of the Jungfrau Travel Pass is the same online and at the station. Buying online is best, because you’ll get digital (PDF) versions, meaning you can have as many copies as needed and can never lose them. You would receive all 19 passes, and can forward each one to the owner so they can keep it on their phone (or optionally print it).
If you were to purchase at the station, you would need to bring all 19 passports. It would take quite a while to get it all sorted out. And you’ll end up with paper passes, which cannot be replaced when lost.
The best online option is the tourist webshop of the SBB (Swiss Federal Railways) here: https://www.swissrailways.com/buy-jungfrau-travel-pass
If you want, you can select a different currency than Swiss francs in the upper right corner of the webshop, e.g. if that prevents banking fees for you.
You don’t need reservations for the regular trains, but for popular mountain trips, I’d recommend it (though it depends on the season too). Sometimes it’s even required, like for Jungfraujoch: https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/jungfraujoch/

Hello! Thank you SO much for answering much better than the Jungfrau TP offices. I was reallly struggling to understand the best way to do it and I felt like you, that I wanted each person to have a digital copy! Plus, paying ahead I won’t need to worry about my credit card getting declined for such a large amount.
If I make a reservation for example for our journey to Lauterbrunnen from Grindelwald, how do I get around other people that do NOT have reservations to be sure we get on the train? My experience is that people just crowd the doors and get on and there is no real order to it. Just trying to figure out how a reservation would help. Thank you so much!

Hi Laura,
I don’t think it’s possible to reserve seats on the local train from Grindelwald to Lauterbrunnen. What you can do is probably try to avoid travelling during peak hours. Or show up early at the train station and board the train ahead of everyone else. Another alternative is to upgrade to 1st class. Not a guarantee though that you’ll get seats. Hope this helps!

Anna
