Key takeaways:
You can travel from Jungfraujoch to Grindelwald either via Kleine Scheidegg or Eigergletscher, both routes are valid.
If you arrive at Grindelwald train station, you can walk or take a short bus to get to the Grindelwald-First gondola station.

I’m planning to visit Switzerland sometime in April. And one of the days, I planned to visit Jungfraujoch and First for the cliff walk. So I’ll be going to Jungfraujoch in the morning, then First after. I’m a bit confused as to which transportation I should take.
Should I take the train from Jungfraujoch to Kleine Scheidegg and take another train to Grindelwald? Or should I alight at Eigergletscher and take the Eiger Express to Grindelwald Terminal?

Hi minimalesque,
Welcome to MySwissAlps.
If you are wanting to reach Grindelwald from Jungfraujoch, you can opt with either of the routes you describe – Eigergletscher to Grindelwald Terminal or from Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald train station via the cogwheel train.
If you are making your way to Grindelwald-First afterwards, you will need to reach the Grindelwald-First gondola valley station in Grindelwald. You can walk or take a short bus ride from Grindelwald train station.
The links below will help you out, Jungfraujoch’s guide will explain the various routes to get there and back from Grindelwald and the Grindelwald-First guide, all the necessary for a visit here.

Oh, so let me understand this.
To get to First from Jungfraujoch, I should take the cogwheel train from Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald and walk or take a short bus ride to grindelwald-first. Right?
Am I still able to reach grindelwald-first from grindelwald terminal should I choose to take the either express? Do I need to take another train to Grindelwald to get to the gondola station?
All the grindelwald term/stations confused me.

Hi minimalesque,
You can take either option from Jungfraujoch that you have researched.
Depending which, you would either reach Grindelwald Terminal or Grindelwald train station. With both, you would need to make your way to the gondola station in Grindelwald, that would then take you to Grindelwald-First.
If arriving at Grindelwald train station, you can either walk (around 10 minutes uphill) or take a short bus ride. Key in Grindelwald Bahnhof to Grindelwald Firstbahn on the Swiss timetable. (https://www.myswissalps.com/travel/public-transport/timetable/)
If arriving at Grindelwald Terminal, you can take another train to take you to Grindelwald train station, then the bus or walk to the Grindelwald gondola station for Grindelwald-First or you can take a direct bus from Grindelwald Terminal to the gondola station for Grindelwald-First.
Yes, the Grindelwald stops are confusing. They are explained in our Grindelwald guide below, scroll to “The 3 train stations of Grindelwald”
