    Hello!

I was looking to book tickets for Jungfraujoch using Jungfrau.ch and have two questions:

    1. One of the questions asked is the amount of time I plan to spend there. I am confused about what happens if I book for three hours and then stay more or less? Do I just get in line to catch the next available train down or will I have to buy another ticket? I will be traveling utilizing my Swiss Travel Pass discount. I do understand I would lose my pre-paid seat.

    2. Are the tickets able to be refunded with advance notice. Everything I read says to wait until the day before I want to travel to Jungfraujoch to get tickets but I like to have my trip set before leaving home whenever possible.

Thanks for any advice you have!

    Laurie

    Hi Rpita,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

We usually recommend to check the weather forecast first prior to purchasing the tickets to Jungfraujoch. If it’s raining and visibility is bad at the top, you might regret your trip and the ticket is not cheap. You can find a link to the local weather forecast here: http://www.myswissalps.com/weather/forecast. The forecast is usually reliable up to 5 days in advance and you can purchase your ticket a few days before on the day of your trip. Options to purchase online are available here: http://www.myswissalps.com/jungfraujoch/tickets. You can also buy the tickets directly from the train station or information centres in Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen.

When you purchase the ticket to Jungfraujoch, you can choose a time slot to depart and return but the ticket is valid for one day. In general the ticket is non-refundable unless you have valid reasons.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Anna
