I would appreciate any suggestions for lunch and dinner at the following locations. I’ve already got grocery stores on my list. I’m looking for decent reasonable food. We aren’t looking for expensive tourist places but where the locals go. Thanks in advance.
    Montreux
    Chillon
    Thun
    Hünibach
    Interlaken West
    Spiez
    Grindelwald
    Lauterbrunnen
    Zermatt
    Lucerne
    Pilatus
    Alpnachstad
    St. Gallen
    Rapperswil
    Zurich

    Hi Kirsten Steintrager,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

For reasonable meals, I usually go to Migros, Coop or Manora restaurants. These are usually available in the larger towns. Migros and Coop also operate supermarkets and small kiosks with ready meals (i.e. Coop Pronto and Migrolino).

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Kirsten,

In Spiez, I like restaurant Riviera because of the varied menu and the location right on the lake. Their price is average, I would say.

“Spiezer Restaurant & Lodge” is at the station and on my wish list, but I haven’t tried it yet. They have affordable daily menus.
