Must-do”s for Zurich Old Town in two hours

Short summary – read this first

Dora is part of a group of 33 and will arrive in Zurich at 3 pm, needing suggestions for must-see activities for that same afternoon or evening before their flight home the next day. They are looking for quick and enjoyable recommendations due to their limited time after a big meal in Bern earlier in the day.

Key takeaways:
  • You can explore Zurich in just 2 hours with a self-paced city walk.
  • Consider adding a shopping stop at Bahnhofstrasse for some local experiences.
  • A short boat ride on Lake Zurich is a great way to see the city from the water.

    Hello,

We (group of 33) have a hotel close to Zurich HG train station and arriving to Zurich at 3 pm at earliest. Next day we fly home so need to repack etc. Can you offer absolute must see/do’s for that afternoon/evening? We will have eaten a big meal in Bern earlier that day.

    Thank you for any suggestions!

    Dora

    Hi Dora,

Yes, it’s possible to explore Zurich city even if you just have 2 hours.

I recommend the following city walk which you can do on your own and at your own pace:

    Zurich city walk: http://www.myswissalps.com/hiking/zurich

You can also combine this with a shopping trip on Bahnhofstrasse and a short boat trip on Lake Zurich: http://www.myswissalps.com/boatlakezurich
