My family is currently in the midst of planning our upcoming trip to Switzerland in March. We fly into Zurich and have an extra day there before we meet up with the rest of our group. Later in our trip we will be going to Lucerne, Bern, Montreux, and Lugano. In looking into day trips from Zurich, one place we saw recommended was the Rhine Falls. I’m looking for recommendations or advice. Is Rhine Falls worth making a day trip to from Zurich in March? Is it relatively easy to get there via train/bus? (We are staying in a hotel near the airport). If it isn’t, other than Rhine Falls, what other day trips might be worth it with good transportation options during that time? Would appreciate any thoughts anyone would be willing to share.
