The Saver Day Pass will cover the trip from Chiasso or Domodossola (ie the Swiss border) to Grindelwald. You will need a ticket and reservation for the Italian train to get you to the border.

Use the SBB Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) to plan your travel. If you are not familiar with using the timetable it will pay to first read the instructions on that page.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response!

As long as we buy a separate train ticket to Chiasso/Domodossola we can use the saver day pass as a ticketless pass for as many times as we wish except cable cars and cogwheel? We only have BO regional card so is it possible to get a cotravel card for the 13-year old since we don’t have Swiss half fare pass etc, etc…?

    Hi Chloeysl1234,

Yes, you’ll need a ticket from Milan to either Chiasso or Domodossola. The Saver Day Pass is all you need for the rest of your trip, for the adults. If the 13-year old is your child a Junior travelcard will work, or find alternatives here: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/ticketspasses/prac tical/discounts.

Do we have to reserve our seats from Chiasso/Domodossola ahead of time using the saver day pass or we can just show our pass prior to or after we board the train? Thanks again!

You don’t need reservations normally on Swiss trains. You will most likely just stay on the same train anyway.
