    Hello,
i asked this question without enough detail previously.  This is what I would like to confirm before purchasing the Saver Day Pass.  Thanks in advance!!

    1. Can we use the purchased 1st class  SDPass all the way from Wengen to Luzern to doing the Gotthard Express boat and train journey to Lugano….all with just the pass ( and our 1/2 fare card?)

    2.  Must the trip ( if we can do it) be from one train to the next one with no pauses?  The connection on the SBB app shows a  short connection between the train from Interlaken arriving in Luzern and the departure of the boat to begin the Gotthard Pass trip.  If we were to depart Wengen on an earlier train, it would allow us time to get a sandwich/drink at the Luzern train station, as well as checking our luggage in 10 minutes before the boat’s departure as I read must be done.
if we leave Wengen at 8:13, all the transportation is linked.  If we leave at 7:13 to give ourselves the extra time…..is that allowed with the saver day pass?
Thanks so much for all your help!

    Hello again Paula

If you invest in a Saver Day Pass (https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/saver-day-pass/) you get on your chosen day the freedom of the world’s best public transport system.  Put crudely, on the chosen day you can go anywhere in Switzerland at any time you like, from the crack of dawn (or earlier) until late at night…..

It follows that, subject to the need for a reservation on the Gotthard Panoramic Express, the answer to question one is ‘Yes’.

It also follows that you can ‘break your journey’ at any place you like.  So you can certainly leave Wengen at 07 13 and have a sandwich/drink at Luzern around 10 00!

    Best wishes

    Roger

    Hi Paula,

Yes, the 1st class Saver Day Pass is valid all day on all Swiss public transport including boats and scenic trains like the Gotthard Panorama Express (https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/gotthard-panorama-express/). So you can travel on any connections, even hop on and off as you wish.
