    Hi,

We are planning an 8 day trip to Switzerland followed by a couple of days in Paris (coming from Canada). I’m looking for advice on a SIM card to purchase for use in both countries. And should I be purchasing prior to the trip or when I land?

    Thanks

Hi Ventsislav G! We don’t have used this one I’m afraid, so I can’t really comment on it. The ones we can recommend from our own experience are listed at the page Anna provided. But it could be a great deal of course!

    Hi dear,

I am planning to visit Switzerland from UAE with my family (wife and son (11 Yr Old)) between end of Feb or March fist week for 6 days. i would like to stay in interlaken and lucern for these days. let me share some of my concern with you.

1, can i find vegetarian restaurants or food as my wife is pure vegetarian?

2, could you please suggest some hotels where we can use water instead of toilet paper which cant acceptable .🤣

3, should i purchase swiss travel pass from here or from there> how much cost for 6 days ticket?

4 is it worth to stays Lucerne and Interlaken for 3 days each or should i choose other place additional?

5 . i also have plan to visit Paris (France). so i travel from Paris to Interlaken or Lucerne, should i take additional ticket or swiss pass is enough for this travel from Paris to Lucerne/Interlaken.

    Looking forward for your reply.

When I first moved to Switzerland and required a SIM card, I remember purchasing one of the higher rated ones from Amazon and it worked perfectly. As you’re coming from Canada, shouldn’t be a problem to find one from Amazon Canada.

Enquire from you Home mobile company if they have an International roaming service for travelling overseas.

I’m with Vodafone Australia, and whilst travelling in Europe, I’m charged AUD $5.00 per day (24H) unlimited calls/texts back to my home country, including unlimited calls in the country I’m currently travelling in.

Usually my trip is about 28 days duration, times $5.00 = $140.00 for the month. Doesn’t break the bank. Less if I don’t use the service each and every day.
