    Hi,

I am visiting Stäuber Waterfall in Canton Uri in first week of September. I am planning to visit the waterfall from Zurich. I would like to know if water level in the Stäuber Waterfall is powerful enough to enjoy the scenery in first week of September. Is it worth to visit in first week of September or I am visiting Switzerland late that I might miss the fun.

Also, I will be travelling Switzerland with Swiss Travel Pass/Public transport. Internet is not really helpful in providing a best and easy way to reach Stäuber Waterfall from Zurich. Could someone provide me with best and easy way to reach by public transport to Stäuber Waterfall from Zurich. And also, frequency of public transport in September month.

Could someone also provide way to reach Klausen Pass in Canton Uri.

    Thank you.

    Hi Pullurivamsh,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

The Stäuben Falls is located in the village of Unterschächen in Canton Uri, near the Klausenpass. To get there, take a train to Altdorf, then bus to Unterschächen, Ribi, where the cable car base station is located. Take the cable car to the top and follow the trail to the waterfalls. You can also skip the cable car and walk along the dirt road towards Alps Asch for a spectacular view of the waterfalls. Not sure about the water levels in September. Perhaps you can check the webcam or contact the local tourism office before your trip.

Similarly, you can reach the Klausenpass by taking the train to Altdorf, then bus 408 to Klausen Passhöhe.

You can check train and bus schedules on the SBB timetable: http://www.myswissalps.com/timetable

    Regards,

    Anna
