This is fantastic news!  Contrast that with the situation in Britain where I live.  As a generalisation, fares continue to rise ahead of inflation. More than 5% of Swiss RESIDENTS buy an annual ‘General Abonnement’, a season ticket for the whole of Swiss Public Transport. Validity is the same as the Swiss Travel Pass. The current second class price is 3,990  Franks, equivalent to about £3800.  An annual season ticket from Woking to London (40Kms, 25 miles) is £4070!
