    Hi Arno

Thanks for that information. Wonder why they keep changing what’s covered and what’s not? But armed with your info it might be a good idea to do Pilatus this year while it is free and save Schilthorn for 2018!!

Have they also published cost of 1st class passes?

    Hi Maggie,

I think Pilatus got more visitors than they could cope with. Which is kind of expected if joining the Swiss Travel Pass free routes 🙂 I wish many more would be included for free. That would also eliminate the issue of a few attractions being overrun.

I’ll add 1st class prices to the above post later today.

Q1. Can you buy a swiss pass in 2017 (with the lower prices) for use in the spring (May) of 2018?

Q2. is it likely that some good deals on the swiss pass will surface in 2018 as they did last year?

Hi Cev and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    1. It depends on the retailer. It’s best to check the ones listed here when you’re ready to buy. Some do not offer passes for 2018 yet. Some will offer them for the current price, so that’s attractive. Some will offer them for the new price so there’s no advantage to buying now (except for exchange rates possibly but no one knows that for sure).
    2. We do expect promotions again for 2018 but don’t know what the offer will be like. Our promotions page will show promotions once anything is available.

    Cheers!
