Hi, I have a week’s stay in Residence Mont-Calme, in Nendaz. I would like to have a ride on the Bernina Express and see the Lindt chocolate factory. What other kinds of activities would you recommend during my stay?

You will need to get out a very good map of Switzerland.

I have managed to locate your hotel.  I see that it is in Haute-Nendaz, right next to the Poste, which is also the main bus stop for the village!

The 362 bus runs at least once an hour to/from Sion, and the journey takes about 35 minutes.  Sion is the ‘capital’ of Valais Canton.  All your excursions (except those on local Nendaz cable cars) are going to start and finish with a ride on the 362.

Excursions not Recommended

The Lindt chocolate factory is in Zurich.  Zurich is about two-and-a-half hours from Sion, going via Visp and Bern.

From Leuk bus up to Leukerbad.
