The four threads you have just started are all very interesting. However, speaking both for myself and perhaps other potential advisors , it would help if we knew two things.
Firstly, the dates you are staying at the various locations. There is no one set date in December on which all cable cars re-open for the winter season.
Will you be investing in Swiss Travel Passes? This is significant for all four locations, but particularly relevant to Basel. (I have already thought of two circular tours in the Jura mountains.) (And I have though of one tour from Montreux.)
