Hi there.

My friend and I will be visiting Switzerland in early June and this is our tentative plan.

Route 1: Zurich -> Luzern (1N) -> Interlaken (2N) -> Montreux (2N) -> Zermatt (2N) -> Zurich (2N)

Route 2: Zurich -> Luzern (1N) -> Zermatt (2N) -> Interlaken (2N) -> Montreux (2N) -> Zurich (2N)

Q1: We are looking for scenic train rides, so which route would you suggest?

Q2: Is it worth it to make an effort to go to Creux Du Van, since it seems to be out of the way when using either of the routes?

Hi Invinz - Welcome to the Forum -

Here is small start on answering your questions.

It is not n the same league as the other sites. Save it for your second or third trip...and, it is hard to get to by public transportation. You need a car, and have to work to get decent views.

Hi invinz, welcome to MySwissAlps!

If you're looking for scenic train rides there's more you can do in the available time. Although many train routes in Switzerland are pretty scenic, you only included one "official" scenic route: the Golden Pass route.
