Hi..I am planning a trip for 5 nights in Switzerland. I would like to visit Titlis, Jongfraujoh. Can I make Zurich as my base? Also please suggest any more places as I have 2 more days with me.

Welcome Nadave!

Zurich is not the best base as it's not in the mountains and not near the places you intend to visit. Please see here for Lucerne instead. The link also provides suggestions for things to do. Another option is Interlaken or a smaller town in that region.

Thanks Arno.. We are a family of 4 with kids aged 11 and 13. I would like to sty at one place rather than travelling with luggage at 2-3 places. Please suggest a location which could help me travel to the paces I mentioned. Also if I could get any apartments there or some B&B there.

The options I gave you are close to one of the attractions and further from the other one. Towns more in between the attractions are Brienz and Meiringen. You will first need to pick a town. Once you've done so feel free to post to the Accommodation forum and include some details for assistance.

Hi..Arno..taking your suggestion I have decided to make Brienz as my base. I have also booked an apartment at the lake front. I will be travelling from Paris..mode of transport not yet decided. Please suggest as to how could I reach Brienz. Also that I will be travelling with luggage.

Hi Nadave,

The train is the way to go. Are you planning to buy a rail pass for Switzerland? In that case you may only need a ticket from Paris to the border as the pass covers the rest of it. Please see here and here for passes, and here for tickets from Paris.
