Help – so confused – would like to go to either zermatt or jungfraujoch – but the forums are so confusing – it seems people are equally divided on which is more scenic. As of now I’m thinking zermatt 2 nites -bern 1 nite = zurich 2 nites – with day trip to rheine falls – but could easily be grindelwald , bern, zurich – help!

    Thanks

    Amy

Hi Amy! That’s a difficult choice indeed. Both the Zermatt and Grindelwald/Interlaken region are wonderful. So whichever you choose, you won’t regret it. Generally, I’d say that the Grindelwald area is fresh and green and offers the classical ‘Swiss alps’ experience. The surroundings of Zermatt are rougher, which appeals to lots of tourists as well. Browsing the Bernese Oberland and Wallis sections here may give a further impression. If you really can’t choose and don’t mind doing a lot of traveling during such a short trip, you would even manage to make a day trip to Grindelwald from Zermatt, or the other way around of course. The timetable shows all options and traveling times.
