A comment about views inside the Gotthard tunnel

    You can impress your friends by telling them you went 120 mph through the Gotthard or Lotchberg Base Tunnels but unless you need to get to Brig or Bellinzona in a hurry, take the “old” routes over the mountains. An hour longer but the sights are much better than looking out the window at a concrete tube with lights flashing by. I was at the grand opening of the GBT last June and took one of the first rides. Not the way to see Switzerland so it’s now “been there, done that.”
