April or October to visit Switzerland without rain

    Dear Friends,

    I am planning a 8 night visit to Switzerland but very confused as to which will be the best month – April or October….I do not wish to see snow, also wish to avoid rainfall months, green pastures & scenic beauty is my main option, 2 couples & 2 kids aged 5 & 10…My places of visit will be Montreux, Zermatt, Wengen & Lucerne, 2 nights at each place.

    I think your chances of rain are similar in both months. Typically I would tell people to go in early October.

    I agree with the above, you can’t expect not to have some rain while in Switzerland. It’s possible but not likely. Rain is what causes the nice green scenery after all 🙂 The below page might be helpful:
