We plan to visit Jungfrau and Matterhorn in August.

Where is the best place for our base hotel? Our plan is 2 nights in Zermatt and 1 night in Interlaken, but is there a better location with great access to transpo for our said itineraries?

One more thing, Can you recommend where to book morning train tickets for Bernina pass from Tirano to Chur? So far the time table are all in the afternoon?

There is only one Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur per day. You will find the timetable at http://www.rhb.ch/en/panorami c-trains/bernina-express#info

If that timing doesn’t suit then you can follow the exact same route as the Bernina Express on regular regional trains. No reservations required.

Don’t stay in Interlaken. Stay at Wengen if you want to feel like you are actually in the Alps.
