My wife and I will be in Lucerne in September. I’d like to do a day trip to Berne from there. In Things to Do I read about the Bern: 90-Minute Stroll Through the Old Town, cost about $20 pp. I can order from the website, but can I buy tickets on the spot? Or do group tours fill up in advance? I hesitate ordering in advance as I’d prefer waiting for a good weather day. Any advice? Thanks.

According to their webpage at https://www.getyourgui de.com/bern-l52/-t48050/ it is recommended to reserve your stroll in advance due to limited participants. However, I believe this doesn’t have to be months in advance and you can still keep an eye on the weather. You can reserve your stroll online or via telephone.

Thanks. Dates are a bit limited, though. Weekends at 11 am only, according to their dates and times for February. But the site lists some self-guided tours too. That would be fun!

You can do a nice walk in Bern and pause when you wish..if you do it yourself.
September is a nice time to visit.
