Bernina Express Bus after 21 Oct??

Understand that the Bernina Express Bus doesn't operate after 21 Oct, but does Bernina Express provide other mode of transport from Tirano to Lugano?
I couldn't find the info in this website.

NO, the only other transportation from Tirano is the train to Milan

What are the reasons for Bernina Express Bus not operating after 21 Oct, is it due to the winter snow, making driving dangerous?

I'm not sure Bill, but I think it's related to the tourist season coming to an end then.

I had the impression that tourist would prefer the Bernina Express ride during winter because of the view of the white snow covered Swiss Alps. No?
