We are planning to go to Italy by April 26 and visit by train Jungfraujouch. We may depart from Milan or Venice,Italy to the Swiss area and stay in there for 4 days. We want to take the Bernina Express and in any moment take the Glacier Express train too .

Which is the best way to do this trip. Where we have to stay for at least 2 nights. Thanks

Hi amco275, and welcome to MySwissAlps,

A possible way is the following:

    1. Bernina Express via Tirano to Chur. Spend the night in Chur.
    2. Glacier Express from Chur to Brig. Change trains in Brig and travel via Kandersteg to Interlaken (stay in Mürren, Grindelwald, Wengen or Lauterbrunnen for 2 nights)
    3. Jungfraujoch
    4. Back to Italy? Not sure what your plans are.

You can use the Swiss timetable to find out how long it takes from A to B. You can download a train map on our Swiss Travel Pass page here so you get an idea of where the scenic routes are. You may decide not to do two scenic train trips in a row, but take a faster way from Chur to Interlaken. Open the PDF, it is the 2nd page when you scroll down.

Thanks for your orientation. We plan to return to Italy by train. What do you recommend to us

If you would like to spend most of the fourth day in the Jungfrau region I would take the fast way back to Italy. Simply put Interlaken and your end destination in Italy in the timetable and you get the fastest way back.
