Hi Istaffa and welcome to MySwissAlps!
You would need to get to Chur or Zermatt typically to take the Glacier Express train to Göschenen (or start in Göschenen). Between Andermatt and Göschenen is a cogwheel train yes.
You can find train schedules between any towns on the timetable here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable
What is the trip you want to make that day? Starting in Luzern and getting back there later that night?

Depending on your timings you could do the Gornergrat cog wheel from Zermatt, just across the road from the railway station. It is about a 30 minute ride, we did it last week, it is good, but it is just up & down, so your time depends on how long you stay up there. Great views of the Matterhorn, and other peaks, weather permitting.

The Gornergrat trip is longer than Göschenen to Andermatt – only 10 minutes!

How can i get tickets from Göschenen to Andermatt ? We (5) travelling by car from Zurich to Luzern then we have to get back to Zurich that night. Can we drive to Göschenen and come back ?

You want to drive to Göschenen, then train to Andermatt and back to Göschenen then drive back to Luzern? I don’t think the trip is worth it for such a short train trip….

Not really worth it.
If you only have one day out from Zürich and you want to visit Luzern, the nearest ‘cogwheel’ (aka rack railway in English English) is the Pilatus or the Rigi.
For the Pilatus, you would take the motorway from Zürich through Luzern to Alpnachstad
Having said the above, did you know there is a ‘cogwheel’ railway right in the middle of Zürich?
