B"o regional pass with half fare discount

if i buy the berner oberland regional pass online if i say that i have a half fare card i get a discount, when i order the bo with the discount, do i need to buy the half fare card? will they ever ask me to see if i have a half fare card, when i will be ther?

Sorry for the late reply. You do need the other pass (whether it is a Swiss Half Fare Card or something else) if you claim a discount on the Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland. You don't have to order it along right away, but you should have it while traveling. I doubt that rail personnel will frequently ask for it, but they may. They also won't ask for your passport all the time, but sometimes they do to check whether it matches the passport numbers on your pass.
