Breaking a journey Basel - Interlaken in Bern

Hi, we will be taking a train from Basel to Interlaken, but would like to get off in Bern for a few hours. Am i allowed to do this with a simple ticket from Basel-Interlaken, or will I need to buy separate tickets, from Basel-Bern and then Bern-Interlaken?

Yes, you're allowed to break your trip as long as you complete it the same day.
