Indeed, there are no train rides to the top until June. There's a cable car on the other side of the mountain (Sörenberg) which operates until April 6. I'm not sure whether their Summer timetable goes into effect from that point on or that they'll have a break until later in the year. I expect the latter. Information and links can be found here.
The rides up to Mount Niesen start from April 18, perhaps that's an alternative for you?
