    Hi

I would like to find out if i hike up to Fronalpstock [early morning] and decided to take the chairlift down at 9am.

    1. Is it possible for me to buy one way descent ticket at the top of Fronalpstock ? Is there ticket counter or kiosk at the top ?

    2. Chairlift ticket also sell at stoosbahn ? [i m using Swiss Travel Pass]

    Thank you

Hi Liyen80 and welcome to MySwissAlps.com!

Yes, you buy just one way ticket. Usually ticket corner is at the valley-station. Maybe you should get your ticket a day before, to make sure you have the ticket after your hike.

Have you seen this one? http://www.stoos.ch/en/product/sunrise-rides-fronalpstock

Thanks. Dun think i m able to go day before just to get ticket…cox staying at Lucerne. Seems like there’s no ticket counter available on top of the mountain..then probably i cant do early morning hike up ..need to secure the descent ticket first then only hike.. 🙂

That is quite a hike! No worries about the ticket. If they can’t sell you one at the top, they’ll let you buy a ticket after the ride down. I’ve done that a few times in other places.

Great to know that actually they allowed to ride and pay later … Then i will stick the plan to hike up to Fronalpstocks early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise and take a chairlift down. Thank you very much 😛

    Hi Liyen80,

You can buy the Fronalpstock chairlift ticket from the Stoosbahn station if you are taking the funicular up. The counters open early or you can get the tickets from one of the ticket machines.

    Regards,

    Anna
