Hi.. we are 4 adults will travel at Switzerland during Mid of December 2018 for 5 days. Our stay is

1st night – stay at montreux

    2nd & 3rd night – at interlaken Ost

    4th night – Zermatt

    5th night – Geneva Airport.

After montreux, we plan take Golden Pass to Lucerne then back to interlaken Ost. The next day early morning will go to First and Jungfraujoch. Will this possible to make it in a day during December? As I know the day time during winter is shorter. Please advice.

    Thank you.

Hi Jamie, and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Have you booked accommodation yet? Depending on the exact date, you might find that accommodation in Zermatt is already booked out or that they will not accept a booking for only one night at that time of year.

Make sure to plan this trip using the Swiss Timetable to ensure you are comfortable with the amount of travel time.

Use the Swiss Timetable to find out how long it will take, and note what time the last gondola comes down from First to Grindelwald. To check the times for sunrise and sunset in December, you can look here:
