Hi All,

We will be landing in Zurich on the 30th August and our first destination in the itenarary is St Moritz. While we are not going to Zermatt, i wanted to check if we can travel on the glacier express for a short while. I wanted to check if we go from zurich airport to chur and can we take the glacier express from chur to St Moritz?

Hi rikengop and welcome to MySwissAlps!

While the Glacier Express does run to St. Moritz via Chur it isn’t normally a scheduled stop in Chur, so you can’t board the train itself. You can check the train timetables here (the Glacier Express train is marked as GEX where available). If you search Zermatt to St. Moritz you can see it goes through Chur but no stop is scheduled there.

Trains traveling from Chur to St. Moritz would follow the same route as the Glacier Express, so you see the same scenery, just not through panoramic windows.
