Can I use the Swiss Transfer Ticket on the bus?

I shall be arriving at Basel airport and intend to use the Swiss Transfer Ticket to get to Grindelwald. The terms & conditions of the Swiss Transfer Ticket say that it is valid from your airport or railway station of arrival - does that mean that I use it on the bus from Basel Airport to Basel SBB? (I suspect not, but I would just like it confirmed!).
